Collinson Jaguar have carried out various work on this car over the years.

Brackets have been fabricated to fit telescopic rear shock absorbers that altered the handling immensely.

The nose section of the cast iron water pump was fractured whilst on a tour and was temporarily repaired for the car to carry on. After much thought, a new water pump body and pulley were machined in aluminium with a Jaguar impeller and shaft. This improved the water flow through the engine.

With a 3 speed gearbox fitted as standard, gear changes were frequent while driving.
Do we change the gearbox or alter the axle ratio? How about an overdrive?
A Laycock remote overdrive was purchased from Overdrive Spares (odspares@aol.com).

Adaptor plates were made to drive the overdrive and axle.
Mounting brackets were made to fit the overdrive to the chassis. Rubber mountings with a built-in safety feature were added in case of mounting failure.

Two gearbox switch mounting plates were fabricated to act on the selector rods to ensure that the overdrive only worked in second and third gear.
